Introduction

Widely considered to be hkmori’s breakthrough hit, being her biggest song on both SoundCloud and Spotify. The song samples ‘桜流し ’ by Hikaru Utada, the ending theme for the 2012 film ‘Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo’.

Around a year after the song’s release, “anybody can find love (except you)” achieved widespread online recognition thanks to its use in an animation by Instagram user poordesignart called “Breakcore in a Nutshell” (HD recreation on YouTube linked below), which highlighted the contrast between the song’s tranquil, yet distorted piano sample and the frantic tone of the drum track.
