帝国进行曲可以说是星战爵爷的专用BGM了，甚至在剧情上爵爷已经成为绝地英灵后，其遗物（破损的头盔）在后传电影中登场时还是会奏响这首帝国进行曲的变奏。
从设定上来说，在穆斯塔法被高地王迫害（？）后，阿纳金体内的迷地原虫数量相比克隆人战争期间已是大幅下降，且在成为维达尊主，穿戴上标志性的黑色盔甲后，其身法也不再如同克隆人战争时期的绝地将军阿纳金·天行者那样灵活迅捷，但与此同时，原力的黑暗面赋予了达斯·维达远超常人的力量和压制力。在众多星战漫画中，达斯·维达曾亲自狩猎过多名隐居的绝地武士，这些绝地武士中不乏经验丰富，武艺高超的大师级绝地，但最终他们都不幸败于西斯尊主之手。
