简介：

《欢迎进行曲》是中国人民解放军欢迎外宾及举办重大庆祝活动时的专用乐曲，是一首热烈而庄重的迎宾礼仪乐曲，充分表达了对宾客的热情欢迎和深切友好的情感，是我国欢迎宾客时经常演奏的乐曲。曲子欢快愉悦，充分表达了广大群众对生活的热爱，和对新中国的期盼。

2008年北京第二十九届奥林匹克运动会开、闭幕式上作为礼仪用曲欢迎胡锦涛、江泽民等党和国家领导人、国际奥委会主席雅克·罗格先生和国际奥委会终身名誉主席胡安·安东尼奥·萨马兰奇先生以及各国贵宾。
2009年9月25日，被确定为建国60周年国庆阅兵和礼仪用曲。《欢迎进行曲》是管弦乐曲。这首乐曲是魏群执笔，中国人民解放军军乐团集体创作的铜管乐合奏曲。
