Introduction

1971年，周恩来总理为了欢迎金日成和西哈努克亲王，特意组织了陆海空三军文工团编排一台歌舞晚会。由于正值文革期间，编排的节目都是雄壮的革命歌曲，令现场指导的周恩来总理认为，该场晚会缺少抒情的军人歌曲。这启发了胡宝善的创作激情，他决心要写一首部队的抒情歌曲。1972年，胡宝善随团出海拉练，从南平到汕头，三天三夜都在船上。在船上，胡宝善有感而发，创作出《我守卫在海防线上》的歌词。由于军舰行进过程中，遇到了很大的风浪，所以他产生了用圆舞曲写曲的念头。胡宝善在船上的三天里，完成了该曲的创作。回到北京后，胡宝善对歌曲进行了整理，因为海军还有航空兵，所以王川流在两段词的基础上，又加了一段词，并将歌名改成《我爱这蓝色的海洋》
