Introduction

《南非国歌》是南非的国歌，从1997年起开始使用。《南非国歌》是结合《天佑非洲》与《南非的呼唤》而成的一首混合歌。
《天佑非洲》是由循道宗学校的传教士亚诺赫·桑汤加老师以约瑟夫·派理的《阿伯里斯特威斯》为基础，于1897年作成的歌曲。最初，《天佑非洲》被当作一首教堂赞美诗来演唱，但之后则成为反对种族隔离政府的标志性歌曲。至于《南非的呼唤》则是以诗人柯内里斯·贾柯巴斯·兰根豪芬在1918年写成的诗词《呼声》，并由作曲家马基努斯·劳伦斯·德·费勒于1921年替该诗作曲而成的。1938年至1957年期间，《南非的呼唤》与英国国歌《天佑吾王》共同获南非政府采纳为国歌使用。在1957年至1994年间，《南非的呼唤》更成为南非唯一的国歌。1994年，在时任南非总统纳尔逊·曼德拉的建议下，南非政府同时采用《天佑非洲》与《南非的呼唤》作为国歌。直到1997年，南非通过新宪法之后，该两首歌被合并成现今的《南非国歌》。2017年12月19日，英国新闻周报《经济学人》将《南非国歌》评为“世界上最好的国歌”。
有时候，《南非国歌》会被称为“Nkosi Sikelel' iAfrika”（天佑非洲），但这从来都不是其官方名称。
