本国歌采用于1950年，最初没有歌词，在1984年配上了歌词。阿都·拉曼·阿尔-哈提卜创作了国歌旋律，并由依布拉欣·卡哈法于1984年填词。
在沙特阿拉伯，这首歌被称作《国歌》，有时也以首句“赶快，至荣耀和全能”代指。国歌的纯器乐版本又被称作《向王室敬礼》，在国王出现在典礼上时演奏。
